Did you see or hear about The Pillowtalk Project? As part of our launch for Eva II, we started a campaign to share how we show vulnerability in intimate moments. We believe that meaningful things happen when we we’re not putting up walls. Honest communication leads to emotional and practical breakthroughs in the bedroom that you just can’t achieve by staying closed off.
But there’s a second side to this philosophy, too: open discussion of our experiences can keep us safe, and help us heal.
We’re a women-founded company with a majority-female team, and the recent outpouring of #MeToo narratives and sexual assault allegations hits home for us as women, as professionals, and as advocates for a sex-positive future. A healthy, happy sex life starts with freedom from fear and abuse.
That’s why this Black Friday through Cyber Monday, we’ll be donating $5 from every order to RAINN, the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline, and develops programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and bring abusers to justice.
Very high-profile victims and abusers have the spotlight today, but we want to ensure that people from all walks of life can feel safe tomorrow. We want women — and survivors of any kind — to feel empowered to talk openly about abuse. In order to reverse the normalization of sexual violence in our culture, we need to normalize of sharing real stories. We hope you’ll join us in supporting RAINN, and survivors everywhere.
