Dr. Uchenna “UC” Ossai
Board-Certified Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist
Dr. Uchenna is a sex-positive pelvic health physical therapist, sexuality educator, and counselor dedicated to advancing inclusive, intersectional approaches to sexual wellness. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She is faculty for the University of Michigan School of Social Work’s Sexual Health Certification Program. With extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia, Dr. UC previously held roles as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Dell Medical School and as Pelvic Health Program Manager and Clinical Education Rotation Director at UT Health Austin.
Dr. UC’s expertise centers around complex pelvic floor disorders, sexual function, and dysfunction, emphasizing intersectionality and the biopsychosocial factors influencing sexual health. She is a sought-after national and international speaker, regularly sharing her insights on pelvic health, sexuality, and diversity. Additionally, she serves on the medical advisory boards for Origin, O.School, and Dame Products, and provides consulting on DEI strategy, clinical education, and program development for small businesses and startups.
Passionate about redefining sexual intelligence and promoting authentic, inclusive sex education, Dr. UC is known for her unapologetic, vibrant approach—embracing transparency, positivity, and kindness. She holds a clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Chicago, completed her Women’s Health residency at Washington University in St. Louis, and earned her postgraduate certification in Sexuality Education and Counseling from the University of Michigan.
